Stainless Steel Garbage Can
A stainless steel garbage can
, the juwel amongst garbage cans.
Gone are the days when a trash can was just that: A container, a can, a bin or
a bucket where you’d put in your trash, rubbish, garbage. Usually plastic wastebins for indoors, metal garbage cans for outdoors. You didn’t really care how it looked. I mean, it ‘s something to collect your garbage in. But obviously those days are over. A shiny stainless steel garbage can now be found in lots of households.
The stainless steel garbage cans website is here to help you find the right type of stainless steel garbage can for you. We will show you the different brands of trash cans (like Brabantiaor Simple Human
), the different types (like a step trash can
or touch bin
for example or even automatic trash cans
). And if you’re into recycling trash, there are good looking home recycle bins as well. And of course we will show you where you can buy these beautiful shiny trash containers.
There’s a very big difference, call it a trend even, how lots of people now look at kitchen garbage cans. As mentioned, regular trash bins used to be just relatively plain plastic bins with a lid. The kind of thing you need in your kitchen but don’t really want to have in plain sight. But the last decade or so trash bins have become more and more something you don’t just NEED but want to be able to SHOW in your kitchen as well. Garbage cans can now be real eyecatchers. When you have visitors, it is now possible to not just show them your recently redecorated house or kitchen but also show them your new, shiny and cool looking steel trash can. Who’d have thought there would be a time you could actually proudly show people your new garbage can? When did a new garbage can become a good subject of conversation? Wow.
And if you really want to have a trash bin that stands out, there’s the semi- or full automatic, touchless trash can. This one really steals the show. In the U.S. the most popular automatic trash cans are made by iTouchless. Brabantia has it’s Sensor Bin but it’s more expensive.
With the coming of these new luxury garbage containers of stainless steel something else happened: Garbagecans were no longer just objects, containers, to hide your trash in. The garbage container now became a part of the furntiture, a piece of decoration even. So now you may see beautifully designed steel garbagecans not only in kitchens but also in the living room, bedroom, bathroom and office. Simply because now you don’t have to try your best of hiding the thing anymore. It can now be put anywhere you want, in plain sight. Somtimes that’s just exactly what you want. Let your visitors see that brandnew steel trash can you just bought!
If we’re talking prices, you can find them roughly anywhere between 20 and 200 US$. The better brands will give you a good guarantee on the working of the lids or pedals. This is something to think about when choosing between a cheaper “brandless made in China” model or a model from a “real” brand. 150$-200$ May seem a bit much for something as a kitchen trashcan but when you get a 10 year guarantee on the working of the lid (as Brabantia does with
both it’s touch bins and pedal bins for example), it may very well be worth it. Some well known brands in the stainless steel garbage cans are:
Brabantia – 10 years guaranteed of working lids/pedals.
Simple Human trashcans come with warranty of 5 to 10 years.
Vipp - Quoted from their website (concerning trash cans): “… 10 years warranty. The extended warranty is valid for products purchased in 2008 or later. The warranty pre-supposes rightful use as described in Vipps care instructions, with reservations for normal wear and tear. Please see Vipps care instructions at www.vipp.com.”
Polder is not very clear on their site about warranties. I did some research and found one link to another site where a 5 year warranty is mentioned to a specific Polder model. Better ask for it at the dealer/reailer where you’re goign to buy your Polder bin to be sure.
Itouchless specializes in automatic trash cans. I can only find a “3 year warranty on lids” with their RX and HX models. Those are their so called “elite models”. I can’t find any info on their other models.
